Iris chaired the meeting.

1. Membership situation

No fees received yet from the member organisations. Eva sends out a reminder as soon as possible.

Possibility of paying by credit card is examined.

2. Board members from Africa/Middle East

The board will follow up on this point.

3. Final Agreement on pamphlet

The board finds that Gisela has done a great job in making this pamphlet. . Information about fee payment should be simplified. Gisela will forward paper copies to the rest of the board and the secretariat

4. Action plan

Iris, Judi and Karl expect to have a proposal ready by the end of January.

5. Funding, Finances

There has just been an election in Denmar, but Karl will contact the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs shortly for any funding possibilities.

Mary examines UN private foundations.

Members will again be asked for ideas and to spend some money on WNUSP. Also for funding telephone conferences, meetings, sponsorship events, local support etc.

6. IDA

Disability watch: WNUSP wants to be involved. Iris will write a draft letter of support.

Convention: Karl has today mailed information to the board members. Comments to Karl, who will then within a week make a letter of support to the organisation of the Blind.

7. World Bank Template

There has been some discussion on the e-mail list. The subject is postponed till next time, discussions to be made on the WNUSP board e-mail list.

8. Registration

Karl will bring the UN papers to the secretariat. Eva makes a draft official letter to be approved by the board, and suggestions for organisations to receive this letter should be mailed to the secretariat. Iris will contact Peter Lehmann on the subject, Karl contacts Bengt Lindquist.

9. Costs of telepnone conferences

Telephone conference costs will be divided between the board member organisations, when/if known.

10. Relations to WFMH, if any

Eva sends a reminder to WFMH regarding board representation.

11. WNUSP e-mail list

Iris will put an entry to the list on behalf of the board, against the personal attacks on several people, among others Mary O'Hagan and David Oaks.

12. Other issues

When board members asks for feed back on e-mail, please remember to answer!

Web page: New design approved, Eva gets the page going.

ENUSP: Iris has been invited as key speaker to the conference in Slovenia in April 2002.

Karl informed of a recently held conference in Denmark about equal opportunities, arranged by LAP and other organisations.

Iris informed of the situation in the runaway house in Berlin.

Judi mentioned that they are trying to get funding for a PACE project.

Gisela will sendt some recovery material to Karl.
